I’ve been up all night for the official announcement of ChromeOS from Google which is scheduled to be released next year.
Demo:
Here’s are some of the details:
- instant boot
- every app is a web app
- all data is in the cloud
- browser security model- reference hardware
- you can’t download Chrome OS and install it on your machine
- the only way to install the OS is to buy a Chrome OS machine (*)
- the target launch time: the end of next year
Even though I’m skeptical about (*) I’m still excited about the year ahead. For more details, you can visit the the Official Blog Entry from Google.

I’ve been using Firefox 3.6 beta since beta1 for mainstream work and i’ll admit its so damn fast!
Well, at least for my aging iMac PPC G5 it feels like heaven.
This update has more than 80 changes from the previous beta.

Sometimes we just have to face it.

The EON CyberAccount is UnionBank’s internet-based deposit account. It allows you to do absolutely all your banking transactions in a click of a mouse. You can even make electronic fund transfers to any bank in the country — anytime, anywhere! (Via UnionBank)

Here’s how I got my card:
- Bring 2 Valid IDs and Go to your nearest UnionBank branch
- Apply for an EON Account and fill up the form
- Wait for 1-2 weeks (I got mine after 2 weeks)
- Pay the Php350 Annual Fee
- Deposit at least Php200 If you’re planning to get your PayPal verified (Optional)
Upon receiving my card the bank personnel told me that it would take 24hours for the account to be activated, but in my case was just a matter of minutes(if not instant)! because I was able to check my account balance right away.
YahOOo! In time for holiday shopping
