Creativity isn’t ours. Just because you can draw better, doesn’t make you a better thinker. Design isn’t just aesthetics, it’s more than that. Even if the shiny stuff we do is what gets the most attention in our industry, it’s not what makes design what it is.

Whether you consider Frank Chimero‘s latest gig as a heroic undertaking or Andy Rutledge as a vocal dick(according to a comment), this article is worth reading.

On Users and Innovation

I always believe customers/users are always right, but what if the truth is they’re most of the time wrong? What if we all failed to innovate all because we are haunted with the vague functional spec and their vision of a far flung unknown universe? Does it make sense to perfect a product that no one uses? Or should we justify creating something ‘magical’ and redefine their experience by using our pragmatic thoughts as curators?

Yay! Finally got my Union Bank EON Account

The EON CyberAccount is UnionBank’s internet-based deposit account. It allows you to do absolutely all your banking transactions in a click of a mouse. You can even make electronic fund transfers to any bank in the country — anytime, anywhere! (Via UnionBank)

Here’s how I got my card:

Bring 2 Valid IDs and Go to your nearest UnionBank branch
Apply for an EON Account and fill up the form
Wait for 1-2 weeks (I got mine after 2 weeks)
Pay the Php350 Annual Fee
Deposit at least Php200 If you’re planning to get your PayPal verified (Optional)

Upon receiving my card the bank personnel told me that it would take 24hours for the account to be activated, but in my case was just a matter of minutes(if not instant)! because I was able to check my account balance right away.
